Websites, Work and People
So after almost two weeks of carrying my resignation letter in my pocket I finally turned it in. Once last night, the owner wanted to distance himself from it after making sure he wasn't the sole reason for my departure, and again Thursday night.
I feel both better and worse. I like the job, I like the people. Its just not me.
At home I am consumed with a certain website I have mentioned to a select few about stumbling upon, and how its very existence, from layout to conceptual ideas altered my view of how I am conducting myself online.
I have redesigned two websites that were once parked with aggregators to the new idea. As sloppy and knock off as the sites seem to me, with their long loading times and questionable ethics, I can't help but to love the idea.
And for me what more do you really need. I live and die for new, interesting ideas.
So here is one, the least ethically challenged, in some ways, Marilyn Monroe Murdered.
Least ethically challenged not because of its subject content, but because of the absense of Google Adsense Blocks where I intend to place them.
I am still questioning the meaning of "Content" in the Google world and how it applies to web site design. See my recent post looking for feedback on EarnersForum.
And if you were wondering why I even own that domain name, there was a discussion on a few forums about the ethics of buying up Anna Nicole Smith domain names and I argued that owning Marilyn Monroe related domain names was the same, and I posted the above mentioned one.
Upon realising that it was available I semi drunkenly purchased it while on work/vacation in Florida.
