NBC Heros TV Show Theory
Ok, I know the show is in it's third season now but I only watched the first two seasons last week. At some point early into the second season I came up with a theory that has yet to be disproved.
That theory is that all of the Heros owe the origin of their super powers to Hiro Nakamura.
How so?
First off let me say that I haven't had the time to scan the fan sites to see if anyone else suggested what I am about to go into, and if in your opinion it is way off base and you are a rabid fan of the show and its characters please dont go postal.
In the begining of the second season of Heros Hiro finds himself in Japan in 1671 where he bumps into his boyhood hero Kensei Takezo. It is only after meeting Hiro and being shot by arrows that he becomes aware of his regenerative powers.
I'm suggesting that he only had those powers BECAUSE of Hiro. Perhaps Hiro carried some sort of virus or genetic mutation back with him from the future and somehow inadvertantly infected or altered Kensei Takezo's DNA.
So how did the other regular cast members get their powers?
Kensei Takezo, later known as Adam Monroe stops aging at that point and lives through over 400 years of wandering the Earth. Are we to believe that he never impregnated a single female over this time?
Even if he didn't stay around to father the child he would have passed on genetic changes to his offspring. And those kids had kids and so on.
All of the main characters are thus descendants of Adam Monroe in one way or another.
